I've always been curious
about people.

I love people. Not in an extroverted kind of way but with a compassion that fills my entire soul. I remember sitting on the floor of my bedroom closet as a preteen talking to one of my closest friends as they navigated, what felt like, a big life event. “It’s like you’re my therapist. I don’t know what I would do without you.” That idea sparked something inside me, but it wasn’t until I had my own experiences with mental health and emotional wellness that I really knew that I wanted to help others find the joy that comes from living a life of intention and integrity.

I live in Red Deer Alberta with my husband and four kids. I spend much of my time volunteering on school committees, coaching sports or fundraising for non-profits. I enjoy being outside and have learned to find the beauty in every season that a prairie province has to offer.

But mostly, I love to learn about people! I’m currently working on my Bachelor’s of Psychology and am excited to be able to pass on what I’m learning in sessions with clients. I’ve attended retreats, done online courses, read books and listened to so many podcasts to feed my hunger to learn.

I also love a good renovation. Tackling a complete kitchen renovation or repainting a bedroom both sound like fun to me.

Words to Inspire

“Life forces us to choose between the discomfort of growing and the discomfort of not growing. What we choose determines who we will become.”

Jennifer Finlayson-Fife

“What distresses us is less the circumstances we find ourselves in, and more the energy we spend resisting them.”

Haemin Sunim, Love For Imperfect Things

“I truly believe that the opposite of anxiety is curiosity.”

Kathleen Smith, Everything Isn’t Terrible

“We have not seen enough rough drafts of those we admire, and therefore cannot forgive ourselves the horror of our own early attempts.”
